The settlement of Kaukapakapa, located 10 minutes drive north of Helensville, has experienced significant population growth over recent years, with a brand new subdivision being constructed south of the settlement adding around 200 new homes.
In order to meet the growing demand for educational facilities, a major construction project was undertaken at the Kaukapakapa School throughout 2016 and into 2017. A new administration block was added. The single level classrooms adjacent to the netball courts were demolished and replaced with a two storey classroom block. A new caretaker’s shed was also built.
Tiger Security was contracted to provide the new security alarm system. An ICT Protege WX alarm and intrusion detection was installed to protect all new areas. The rest of the school was integrated to the new system. The project was completed in February 2017.
